Popslime is an RPG-style game centered on progression, where you must defeat swarms of slime monsters before time runs out. The gameplay focuses on simple controls, yet it demands constant power upgrades and strategic decision-making to overcome increasingly difficult challenges. Start your slime hunt, gather plenty of loot, and upgrade your character to become the most formidable force on the battlefield!
Gameplay
To attack in Popslime, move the glowing cursor over a target and hold it there until the attack ring fills up. You can also drag the glowing ring across groups of slimes to eliminate multiple enemies at once while collecting gold and valuable resources. In addition to your direct attacks, your hooded archer character and defensive towers will automatically strike at the monsters. This hybrid combat system—combining player-driven actions with automated attacks—allows you to handle massive waves of monsters more effectively.
Using Special Skills
As the number of slimes grows, standard attacks may no longer be enough. That’s where special skills come into play. Popslime features four distinct combat skills, each with unique effects and uses:
- Lightning Chain: Unleashes a series of lightning bolts that chain between multiple targets, dealing damage to each one.
- Rain of Arrows: Summons a downpour of arrows across the battlefield, striking groups of monsters.
- Knight Slash: Delivers a powerful strike that deals heavy damage to nearby enemies.
- Vampire Explosion: Triggers a wide-area explosion, which is especially useful when slimes gather in large clusters.
Character Progression
Defeating slimes not only helps you complete objectives but also earns you gold and essential resources for character development. After each playthrough, use your rewards to boost your damage, increase attack speed, and unlock new abilities. A key highlight of Popslime is its character progression system, which offers a wide range of upgrades, allowing you to tailor your playstyle to your own strategy.
Collecting Runes and Gems
Runes and gems add a deeper layer to the upgrade system. Runes come in six rarity levels, providing more options for building your character’s power. Meanwhile, gems offer 33 different stat-boosting effects, enhancing crucial aspects of combat. You can also visit the Mysterious Well, which provides eight passive buffs. These enhancements support your character during gameplay and make the progression process more efficient.
Endless Mode
Endless Mode in Popslime is designed for players who want to keep fighting after mastering the core mechanics. You will face continuous waves of slimes and must try to survive for as long as possible. This mode is an excellent opportunity to test the effectiveness of your upgrades, experiment with skill combinations, and compete for a spot on the leaderboard.
